That song just doesn’t sound “Bright”. Night is a great thing for the planet’s ecosystem, Don’t get me wrong; But that Metallica song sounds to me as if the lyrics are saying “Let’s go to Hell!” Though I wonder if I’m wrong about that.
Barely related, but the song Eon by Celldweller (I found it by playing Dead Rising 2, fyi) reminds me of NMM, with the lyrics about endless night/longing for light, being trapped/isolation, and lost time.
