Why do I think Fluttershy would be a part of the Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society?

I figured like the Borg fear is irrelevant. Mind control is an excellent soother of worry and anger. Any population deficiencies from destruction of sustenance destroying resources can be sorted out by the next generation in the mass breeding camps.
If possible trying to create a balance between unicorn physical weakness and earth pony lack of magic and flight creating a more docile self replicating food source. Deigned to live from day one until the last day under mix of proper indoctrination and copious mind control.
I’m not actually twisted and evil, just looking at this from the absolute bad guy way. I really do hope some good guy changelings appear on the show. :/

Assuming changelings need only ‘love’ for sustenance, a battle and occupation waged using your tactics may run the risk of sowing too much ‘fear’ and ‘terror’ into the minds of the pony populace, thus will run counter to the changelings primary goal of amassing love energy and becoming more powerful.
“A” for effort and overall Sun Tzu badassery you elicited in your tactics tho, any other race would benefit, aside from poisoning water sources and farms.
So, in other words, something is currently threatening Equestria and Fluttershy and presumably a few more ponies have to go and face it in order to save the day.

Though if the changelings got more powerful to withstand dawwness, I think they should resort to more firepower.

I wonder how dangerous changelings be if they effectively exploited their flight, magic, fangs / sharp horn, wall crawling, adhesive goop spitting, shape changing abilities and hypnotic powers to their full lethal potential. Especially if they exist in similar numbers to Equestrians. Eep!
I’d poison the water supplies first. Deploy herbicide against farms and food sources. Take out rail bridges trains and tracks. Station “Equestrian Royal Guards” hiding in the woods and spider holes along the highways to pick off convoys or just anypony moving between sectors. No pony would no whom to trust creating problems for the real guards.
Cut communication and supply lines between cities. Plant explosives in market districts and factory sections using hypnotized ponies as bombers. Try to draw field troops into unimportant cities to quell panic wasting resources.
I’d base all attacks around flight based lightning strikes, especially in low pegasii sectors. Capture lightly defended cities and fortify them so they become death traps to advance upon and get inside. Changelings firing from every building and pony “hypno volunteers” as distractions wrapped in explosives.
I’d try to draw away flight based components into ambushes and corral slower ground units, Troops would use magic and goop at stand off ranges against pegsii disabling them, fire down on unicorn troops and never engage earth ponies on the ground. Once the pegasii are gone and the trains are out of order I’d have the mobility.
