There’s a such thing as modern hardcore punk? lol I mean I know there’s Melodic Hardcore…but I thought that was as close as it got now-a-days :P

Usually when I make extreme sarcastic negative opinions, I get taken seriously, so I stopped trying.
Good to know we mutually wasted eachother’s time.

If someone has an extreme negative opinion about something, usually it’s sarcastic. I’ve seen enough YouTube comments to know this one, but for some reason, a lot of folks can’t seem to wrap their head around it. The proper approach would have been to ignore my comment, as concerning yourself over it and making assumptions (like what you just did) is just a waste of your time. It’s a waste of my time as well to respond to what you’re saying about my comment.
@wizardoftoasters
I have notifications turned off, they’re annoying. I’m always on recent comments this time of night.
Also, I say this a lot, but it’s really hard to tell when someone is being entirely serious, or joking to an absurd level, especially on this site when I have seen it go BOTH ways and it’s impossible to tell upfront. I’ve seen many comments that are pretty much the same thing as what you said, but the people saying them were serious. So before you say I’m taking things too seriously, just keep in mind how hard it can be to tell jokes from non-jokes through text sometimes.

Well, the fact that you’re replying to my comments, which, I’ll it are just mindless bashing towards a genre that I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about implies you have some reason to defend the honor of this absolutely musically uncomplicated genre. It wasn’t meant to be comical in the first place. It was meant to make mock the people who make a fuss of genres that, in their opinion, are bad. Stop taking shit so seriously. How about we just end it here?
Semi off-topic; why are you responding so quickly? Are you constantly refreshing the notifications page until I post a reply, or are you just not thinking before you post and as quickly as possible?
@wizardoftoasters
In the beginning, I was only commenting on the fact that your comment on this image was comically horrible and pretty much acting as if opinion was fact. Never once did I say this was my favorite genre, but you kept piling on the baseless generalizations and stereotypes for no reason at all.
@Background Pony #7B52
Wow. Hypersensitive much? You must not have a lot of friends, judging by the way you are just ignoring what I am saying because I’m being an ass about your favorite musical genre. I apologize if I’m being a little bit “harsh”, but that’s the way I am. If you don’t like it- DON’T REPLY!
@Background Pony #7B52
The fact that you posted anonymously just proves that you are too shameful to it you like this garbage lmao. Anyways, I posted this in a sarcastic manner to emphasize my point, that being I think core is shit. Think before you comment, dammit!
How is this tagged “op is trying to start shit”? It’s common knowledge that hardcore punk and all it’s subgenres are tied with donkey shit on the scale of worst things in the universe.
@atalarikt
i find it funny that i can actually enjoy bands like wanking the cadaver when compared to really popular deathcore bands like veil of maya and attila
now i don’t go out and look for deathcore stuff, but the only stuff even considered that genre that i like is anything in the red chord’s discography. i checked out cryptopsy’s notorious album and thought it was a mediocre effort at best, wasn’t that bad though. i dislike deathcore because so much of it is just flat out bad, it’s almost like going through pornogrind videos on youtube trying to find melody
Ever heard Revenge The Fate, Sunset Shimmer? It’s one of only a few deathcore bands that actually kick ass. Try listening to ‘em!
Now comes my opinion.
As a metalhead “baptized” by mostly old-school stuff, I don’t actually hate deathcore. I just find most of the bands of that genre awful. You know, sacrificing great songwriting only for over the top “br00tality” (see Waking The Cadaver and Annotations Of An Autopsy).
I don’t think I’ve heard deathcore before, and I do love my extreme metal. So it’s death metal and metalcore fused together? That doesn’t actually sound half-bad. I actually do like metalcore (yes I know, it’s far from the “extreme” metal stuff I just said I like the most,) as long as the riffs are good and the lyrics are about something badass like mythology and stuff being destroyed, and not wussy emo/screamo songs about breaking up with some girl. Hell, I’ll even like a song if I just like the riffs and the melody itself, despite the lyrics being lame.
Gonna have to agree with ol’ Condiment Head here though. When I’m in the mood for it I love the extremely brutal, heavy underground stuff from the darkest depths of Scandinavia or some obscure eastern European country, be it black/death metal or the crunchy, noisy industrial stuff.
I find it both hilarious and awesome how something as bright, cuddly, girly and gentle as MLP/FiM/EqG is so popular among a lot of fans who also like dark, evil, gritty, brutal stuff like death metal, and actually make crossovers between the two interests work well over three-quarters of the time.
I like there song my funeral:D
Eeyup!
It’s called “beatdown hardcore”, and it’s as dumb as you’d think about it.

I’ll have to give those bands a listen some day. I heard that Black Flag were actually pretty good.
Except that old-school hardcore punk (like Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, etc.) is actually far better than modern hardcore punk.

Yeah, sure, assuming someone on anon is just hiding.
Now I’m going to disregard everything else you said as that’s just rude.
