Well, maybe that was the case in “Dual Destinies”, but when they first cropped up in “Apollo Justice” Phoneix commented how they were cold and dark, and he wasn’t sure if he could break them even if he had evidence. So at least when “Turnabout Storm” was being made, I think that’s what they had in mind.
@Draco_2k: I Word of God saying that Trixie was originally in Celestia’s school, and was jealous that, in her eyes, an upstart filly was able to not only get itted into the school, but also get tutored by the school’s own dean/principal.

Trixie’s “secret” is that she’s super bitter and jealous of Twilight for receiving so much praise and adoration for performing magic, while Trixie does essentially the same thing, and just barely manages to scrape by.

The hopes for a sequel are less than slim at that point, but it really looks like the kind of thing that was meant to be answered later on. So many mysteries in that short series.

The ending in with Trixie gives a magician hat to Wright kind of make me think she saw him as a friend.
There was a not so grimdark fanfic (I don’t even the name, so don’t ask) about Wright pressuring a witness of a realy important murder with black locks, in the end he break trough then and the witness its everything but he is so broken he is left in a mental hospital. What would happen to Trixie if Twilight follow that same route?
