I know what foreshadowing is, but I disregarded the obvious ing of events since everyone knew what happened. Usually when someone posts something about foreshadowing, it’s about something that hasn’t happened yet (read: something that hasn’t aired), so I was thinking about that and turned up a blank.

foreshadowing is when a previous event in a series acts as a hint for future events.
in this case it is him giving tiwlight a pendant, and later on giving her that amulet. it is a hint that it would be discord who gave her the final key.
