Because it’s the artist’s decision, obviously. And SS is pretty much already well-known, the more obscure Decepticon Seekers deserve their own spotlight.
And why use Acid Storm, a Seeker recolor that only ever appeared once with no dialogue (and wasn’t named until a toy came out years later), rather than Starscream or one of the more well-known Seekers (like Thundercracker or Skywarp)?
