Yeah, I when AOL used to be a huge thing in the internet world back in the 90’s to the 2000’s. I read that AOL shut down their CD-Rom programs and moved over to digital s in 2009.
However, AOL was eventually overshadowed by Microsoft’s more powerful Internet Explorer which was later renamed Microsoft’s Edge forcing AOL to stop making digital s for the PCs and Laptops, which is why we don’t see AOL programs on our PCs or Laptops anymore.
AOL is still making their digital internet program s for Verizon cellphone s through so they’re still around even today but just barely.

DOOM is a timeless classic in the gaming world. Millions of ponies still play it today, me included. Doom is what made id very successful, and ponies still release DOOM WADs like there’s no tomorrow. id Software invented deathmatch when they made DOOM. The id games I have are Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM 1 and 2, the Quake Quadrilogy, ETQW, and Quake Live. The mission packs i have are both official Quake mission packs, both official Quake II mission packs, Zaero, and Quake 3 Team Arena. The mods I have? I have so many mods, I can’t really count them all. I also have OpenArena, a fork of Quake III Arena’s open source engine and game code.
It’s sad how id Software was sold to the changelings who make the Elder Scrolls games, and now all they do is flanderize Quake Live. The only good update Bethesda brought to Quake Live is the Workshop . Fortunately, there are still millions of fans who are willing to mod Wolfenstein, Doom, and Quake games, and develop OpenArena.
Wolfenstein/DOOM/Quake fans do what Bethesdain’t. (corruption of “SEGA does what Nintendon’t.”)

Ah, the 90s and early 2000s. When free AOL frisbees and coasters came in the mail constantly. When you tried to some a song from Kazaa and got some shitty Kidz Bop version or corrupted data instead. When people used these good-looking iMacs. When every mouse came with a ball you can play with, and prank people by removing said ball from said mouse. When foolish 90s kids ed BonziBUDDY and got yelled at by their parents for ing viruses. When pop-up closing was a professional sport
As if people would like to dump AOL CDs into each other’s mailboxed! XDDDDDDDDDD

Heh, I still have a copy of Doom on floppy disks, although I think I wrote over all of my AOL floppy disks…

NCSA Mosaic? before NCSA Mosaic, when the entire internet was text-based?
That’s, some pretty old Internet stuff, those little rectangular browser buttons? Netscape Browser? The browser wars? I those.
This will be the best comment ever! Come back soon!

I’m surprised some people still use AOL.
They should consider themselves lucky.
