Well, Twilight Sparkle is a once-student-now-princess of friendship, and she likes to help ponies solve their problems. Hell, when the whole town was sick on baked bads, Twilight tried to help the doctors without really knowing that something had happened. :P
Plus, to be fair, none of the mane 6 are exactly violent. Besides maybe Rainbow Dash and Applejack, they’re all pretty much pacifists. Fluttershy is just also kind of cowardly and a loner, both fitting for the Sniper.
