A lot of reasons, ittedly. Equestria Girls and flashlight were a lot more controversial when I drew this, and I drew it right at the height of the whole dark skin art drama kind of thing, so probably a lot of folks looked at this and just groaned, or even thought that this was a troll pic (In all honesty I only made Twi’s skin dark because I thought it looked better against Flash’s yellow fur). Even disregarding all of that, I also could have drawn Twilight a lot better than I did; this was back when I was REALLY struggling to draw people and trying to find the best balance of Equestria Girls and anime style (and six years later I still haven’t quite found the my groove), the background perspective is wonky, the colors are all over the place. It’s one of my earliest pictures and it really shows XD

Because that’s just like him to leave the princess with a defective one while he used all the fun ones.

I’m not that concerned with logic, especially considering the subject matter. I’m just an analyst by trade and I like to speculate stuff. I also just wanted an excuse to use the Cave Johnson picture again. :D

Are you guys really looking to find logic, proper scale, and staying on-model in one of my pictures? Alright, since you asked:
It’s to balance the universe. Twilight threw the universe out of balance by bringing Human Flash to the pony world and keeping him in his human form. So when Pony Flash went to the human world, Human Flash became the only Flash in the pony world and Pony Flash became the only Flash in the human world. Since the universe must be in balance or it will careen toward destruction, and since the Flash of the pony world is human, the Flash of the human world must now be a pony, which is why he remained in his pony form. Since the Flash of the pony world is smaller than what he should be in comparisen to pony, the Flash of the human world must become bigger than he should be in comparisen to human to maintain balance.
He then proceeded to woo Human Twi with the tales of how he defeated Nightmare Moon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis, King Sombra, Lord Tirek, and Super Queen Chrysalis.

Perhaps, but then he is in the human world, I assume. But then if he’s in the human world, why isn’t he subject to the effects of the mirror like Twi was? Unless he got there by other means. Maybe this isn’t Pony!Flash and is in fact Human!Flash and what we are seeing is the aftermath of SciTwi’s experiments.

Probably both from Flash and dark-skinned Twi. I just loved the contrast between Flash and Twi too much not to do it and I’ve never cared about downvotes to begin with, so I went with it.

I assumed as such. But this is far from the only dark-skinned Twilight I’ve seen around here.
Probably because Twilight’s skin is so dark. Dark skinned humanizations tend to get a lot of downvotes.
