As much as I loathe the fanfic “Cupcakes” (and I loathe it quite a bit, I assure you), the fact that it’s somehow introduced a few people to the show who otherwise might not have watched it is enough to justify its existence in my book.
Cupcakes was the first thing of pony I’ve read, even before actually watching the series (just S1 at the time). I thought it was really funny, read it several times (goes really good to Mein Teil in background), then all the alternate endings. Then went to find out what everything was about with the cartoon.
