@Starlight Storm
While it may not be very good as a Spike/Luna FF issue (given their lack of interaction), I consider it to be a better Spike micro than the actual Spike micro.
@PonyPon
I was just saying why people place her as a SJW and immediately hate her. I found that part really meta but funny honestly.
Mina was like one of the few good things of the comic.
@wselfwulf
Because people perceive her “Why they keep blaming and framing the dragons when ponies can be as equally jerks as ponies?” Basically a LITERAL case of #NotAllX, in this case “Not all dragons are jerks who do the stuff Garble and pals did”.
But the fact she has pink hair (Which is nowdays an stereotype for strawman misanthrope girls), critiques the way her species is portrayed (Just like certain people in Tumblr “claim to defend”), and overall fangasm all over Luna, SHIPS her with SOMBRA of all ponies, wonders if she’s immortal, became Nightmare Moon because of a symbiote (in short, the physical representation of a fangirl) makes her fall into the stereotype for a SJW in many people’s eyes. The dullness and idiotically contradictory nature of the comic doesn’t help her case.
Although I must say that while a mouthpiece and a caricature of a typical brony (at least she is cute and not obesse with acne and a fedora), she wa<s still endearing and deffinitively not a SJW. She didn’t act exactly like a jerk, used the excuse of “Not All Dragons” to fill her own agenda, and overall didn’t hate ponies as much as couldn’t stand their vision on dragons.
@Weasselk
People aren’t hating on her because of Sparity (or at least most of them aren’t), they’re hating on her because she’s not much of a character. She complains about dragons getting blamed for things when the entire concept of non-Spike dragons being nice was pulled from nowhere so the writer could try and make a point.
Which is the main problem really, instead of this ‘Friends Forever’ comic being about Spike and Luna, it’s a PSA with ponies thrown in.
I dont get it why people dont like her already. I can see why some would hate Flash (thou Im cool with him). Stilling everyone’s waifu and stuff. But what wrong with Mina, aside making Sprity folk grain their gears.
@441TheSecond
A mouthpiece for what, exactly? A mouthpiece for comic books? A mouthpiece for the fact that dragons are indeed overlooked and under appreciated in Equestria as well as various forms of media, and often thought of as villains?
Awww, she is adorable. I loved this character. {Sees hate}……Okay, back up people. There is absolutely no reason to dislike her. In fact, she’s easily one of my favorite comic characters up to this point. Shippers got to stick together.
@wselfwulf
Me neither. She didnt come across to me as nearly as “obnoxious” or “annoying” as other perceived “SJW” characters. Of course, if you ask me, Mina isnt one at all. Seems she is being painted into a corner by some as that.
@PonyPon
Seems opinions on Mina are quite divided.
I find it`s to be expected for any new character.
As for myself, I like Mina, and sort of hope she appears in the comics again!
I see now, tnx.
I guess people forgetting that the comic is mostly for kids. And fans who want more on lore and world building. But mostly its a kid’s comic.

It wasn’t the worst indeed, but neither the best. It was… meh. Dissapointing for me, but not exactly bad.
I honestly thought the comic was decent overall. It was a simple story, and definitely a good showing for Spike.

Hey, her Lumbra leanings were her best quality.

I agree that the Spike/Luna FF had a conspicuous lack of Spike/Luna interaction.
But I can’t hate Mina, or even dislike her. She’s us. ^_^

I do too. Heck, I really want to write a fic or two about her already.
Amen.

Those are my only guesses, really.
I’ll tell you why I don’t like her, it’s because she’s not a character, she’s a mouthpiece.
She’s still not my most fucking hated dragon in this series, however.

Never.
