When this was posted, we didn’t know that. And they actually first mentioned that season 3 was going to be happening quite a while ago at BotCon, we just only got the official press release about it the other day.
@Scrounge
It wasn’t a “Trilogy” until the American dub. In the original Japanese versions, Galaxy Force was a completely separate continuity from Micron Densetsu and Superlink.

A few of them seem to have managed to dodge the axe: Teen Titans went on for a while, and CN seems to just love Teen Titans Go. And Batman: The Brave and the Bold ended because the production crew wanted to end it then and make sure they left on a high note.
But other than “Go”, those are from times long gone.
In CN defense(I don’t like saying that) TF Animated wasn’t entirely their fault
While they certainly didn’t have any love for it Hasbro also ended the line for ROTF’s toyline
As for what this I assume(haven’t got it yet) it’s from The Allspark Almanac Complete Edition which combines the first two with the Allspark Addendums which were the samething as the almanacs by the same people but only available through the fan club magazine

They weren’t burned just once. They also got kicked in the teeth with all three shows in the Unicron Trilogy. Did Nickelodeon or whoever not want the show?
@OneOverTwo
I’m pretty sure this is even faster than they killed Animated.

Can is notorious for dicking over shows they didn’t create on their own. Look at a Young Justice, Green Lantern, and TF Animated. All of those show cancelled because they weren’t CN originals.
I don’t have faith this new Transformers will survive long. Hasbro should have known better before g the show over to them from Discovery Family. They were already burned once with Animated. It’s like going back to an abusive ex.

In all seriousness, Cartoon Network isn’t the best place for Transformers.
I’m satisfied with them simply calling everyone the right names consistently except for Crosswise/Smokescreen, which they fixed later.
Yeah, and they actually poked fun at the series conventions in the dubs (as well as making fun of the constant stock footage).
And time. Particularly in of the dub, which wasn’t a horiffically mangled rush job like Armada and Energon were.
Yeah. Two years after it was over, in fact.
Also, Cybertron was actually a good show since they actually put effort into it.
After it was already over, IIRC. Is it any wonder some people are confused?
And then the Japanese studio changed their minds and decided that Galaxy Force WAS a follow-up to Micron Legend and Superlink.
I know, but it’s still quicker to call it that than to list all three series.
And from what I heard, Cybertron was intended to be a follow-up to the other two, but the new animation studio decided not to play things that way.

Yes, because the Unicron Trilogy turned out so well.
Yes, but please bear in mind all the shows for which that didn’t do them any good whatsoever.
Though those DC characters that those shows are based on are owned by CN’s parent company…

Whoops ignore that second half it was supposed to be for a different post

Key word: yet.
Isn’t it just typical that American shows often have most of their episodes aired in other countries BEFORE they actually air in America?
