I wasn’t even talking bad things about Tiny Toons, like I said, I love the show, I’m just saying that some of the jokes, (only a few, really), were better at the time it was made, but I doubt the new generation is gonna appreciate what we had when we were younger back then. :’(

Y’know, as a kid they referenced the “Rosanne singing the national anthom” event in a “Grossanne” parody they did briefly. I didn’t get it as a kid, but now as an adult aware of that event, I find it hilarious.

Plus like I said in my previous comment, even “Looney Tunes” has some dated pop-culture gags, and such people/kids wouldn’t get nowadays, but are still amusing. So it’s always been a part of Looney Tunes to reference the times.

Don’t say that that blasphemy about Tiny Toon Adventures. I’m sure plenty of today’s youths can appreciate timeless jokes like a parody of Sinead O’Connor singing about Yul Brynner.

I don’t know, considering it was Rated TV-PG, I think they were trying to make it into more of teen sitcom show, or something. The problem was they were trying to “modernize” it to much.

Tiny Toons was pretty good, and yeah I guess some of it’s early-‘90s pop-culture would be lost on some younger folks now.
Granted, “Looney Tunes” had pop-culture jokes, and such from many decades ago people nowadays wouldn’t be aware of. Like the “BEEEEE OOOOOH!” quote gag for instance comes from an old-time deodorant commercial. Yet, regardless of some of the now obscure outdated pop-culture jokes, they were still timeless. (And if you do your research, you can still “get the jokes,” especially if you like old movies, and such.)
Regardless, even “Tiny Toons” felt more true to the original Looney Tunes formula then that show did, I felt. Same with “Animaniacs” which also kinda had some things similar to “Looney Tunes.” (Right down to the subtle risque’ humor. “Goodnight everybody!”)

Y’know, another thing that was part of the charm of “Looney Tunes” was that both children, and adults could enjoy them. Back in the 1940s, and 1950s, they were considered quite “edgy” for their day. Some people fail to notice some of the subtle humor in them. (The makers of them even itted they had them more in mind for adults then kids back then.)
Like I in one old Looney Tunes cartoon episode involving a hotel, the hotel room number read “666.” Quite edgy, especially for back then.

Let’s hope “Wabbit” is somewhat decent.
@Beau Skunky
That’s my biggest problem with The Looney Tunes Show, they tried to modernize it for a younger audience instead of making it timeless to appeal to a general one.

Not even Tiny Toons made that many dated jokes, (now, I love TTA, but let’s face it, sone of their jokes didn’t age that well).

In fact, I’m quite skeptical on how Wabbit, (a new Looney Tunes Show for CN), is gonna turn out.

Oh yeah, those were awesome. They bring back the old “edgyness” of the old Mickey Mouse shorts, and modernizes them with a li’l modern cartoony sillyness, but doesn’t go overboard modernizing them. The best thing about them is they keep them simple, while I think the problem with “The Looney Tunes Show” was they tried to complicate it more, and focus to much on verbal dry humor, rather then the original humor style Looney Tunes had.

The 3D/CGI Roadrunner shorts, and music videos weren’t bad though.
@Beau Skunky
Lesson Of The Day: Never fix something that’s not even broken in the first place, and ironically, The New Mickey Mouse Shorts are what The Looney Tunes Show should have been, (although I already was a Mickey Mouse fan before the new shorts came out.)

Agreed, “The Looney Tunes Show” started out ok, but the dry humor sitcom format kinda got old after awhile, and some of the characters felt a bit OOC at times. (Lola in particular. While I like it that they made her more humorous, she got a bit too annoying after awhile. Granted, some felt she didn’t have much personality in “Space Jam” in the first place.)
Bugs got a li’l less snarky/funny as the show went on, and such, but I liked how they handled Daffy as both a bit crazy, and a bit cynical at times, kinda combining both the old “wacky” Daffy, and his later “egotistical” Daffy personalities into one.
I also liked how some obscure one-shot characters cameo’d in it. Still, the show kinda felt like a “Looney Tunes” show in name-only, and kinda got rid of some of the wackyness, and classic cartoon comedy/sight gags they were known for.
@Beau Skunky
As long as it doesn’t de-evolve into something like The Looney Tunes Show, I’m copletely okay with it.
