Apparently, if you look at Jung’s original writings, your (more or less) MBTI type isn’t a description of your strengths, but of your weaknesses. An ENTJ, for example, is low on self-awareness, a careless observer, not keyed in to emotions, and too quick to jump to conclusions. The goal of personality development, Jung said, was to become balanced on all three of the continua that he described – E/I, N/S, and F/T. (J/P was added by Myers, but this holds true there, too.)

I type Twilight as a I_TJ. She flips between S/N preference depending on the episode and season; more S early on and N later I think. Although her best lines, when she’s under stress, are usually ISTJ.
Still, Mac is probably a better choice for the ISTJ slot, and
Celestia fits way, way better in INTP than INTJ. Celestia’s introverted thinking and extroverted intuition and percieving type causes her to keep making plans in her head (Ti), starting them (Ne), and then cryptically communicating them (Ne) to Twilight the Judging type to finish. It happened in pretty much every season premier and finale episode.
Spock had a similar story; a strong ISTJ in the original series and becoming closer to I_TJ or INTJ with each new movie.
As an ISTJ, I’ve always identified with Twilight for her by-the-book attitude and high respect for traditions, institutions, and authority (and spazz outs when not meeting expectations). Even one of her quotes for today’s April Fool’s desktop ponies is “We’ll do it by the book!” Still, it doesn’t take much to tip an “S” to a “T” on those tests, a result I get on occasions.
