It seemed like the typical time for a character-looking-at-the-audience reaction shot anyway, so the fact that the reaction shot was used for an appropriate pop-culture reference didn’t bother me.
I lack cable too. I think the only meme from that show that I is the winter one.
The funniest thing: I’ve never watched a single episode, but I know almost all the memes, the names of all the characters and have seen all the sex scenes. I don’t have HBO, so I couldn’t watch it if I wanted to, but it feels like I have watched it. Oh, and I also am watching the Super Best Friends let’s play of Iron From Ice.
