Yeah, I cringed so hard at the scene I had to turn the sound down. It took a second try for me to sit through it.
 
When you think about it, though, the fact that the writers were able to make you feel so uncomfortable is a tribute to their writing skills–they really made Spike a believable person in that scene. And as cringe-worthy as it was, it was Cathy Weseluck’s best Spike performance so far.

It doesn’t work for Scoots, what makes you think you have a chance?

Spike falls down and hits the ground “Okay, I can’t do that.”
 
“I was being figurative, Spike.”
 
“Couldn’t you be figurative AFTER saving me?”
 
“I just pancaked the business model!”
 
“Oh right. You’re too tired to think. I probably should have suspected something when you called me Reginald when you said I could fly.”

I enjoyed most of them myself. Even the poor ones gave me something to like.

I dont dislike spike episodes but, The writers have no idea what he is supposed to do. One minuet he is helping twilight by cooking and cleaning, the next he cant even use a mop? then there is his personality, has he tamed his dragon greed or is he still controlled by it? We sometimes see him able to control it, sometimes not, there is no consistency to his portrayal in the show. Ironically Gummy has more characterisation and depth than spike ever had. I Wish they would keep the spike that is a good house-keeper and keeps twilight grounded, see “lesson zero”, but can when pushed start to let his dragon side out. that’s my two bits anyway.

The only spike ep I didn’t FULLY care for was equestria games. I loved the moral he learned, but I felt so uncomfortable for him when he was doing the anthem. I didn’t like the position they put him in.

well read my description, this is only meant as humor, not hate. Im my mind, Twilight stops him just before he jumps.

I’m feeling a little depressed thanks to the Spike hate we’ve been dealing with.
