@OneOverTwo
Yeah, though Wade’s case was more literally.
Reminds me of that rumor that there was going to be an ep’ when Fluttershy gets turned into a dragon. I would’ve loved to of seen that. (Considering her fear of them.)

When those had discussions on how US acres and MLP are to be related when they were to compare characters as Orson and twilight are known to be bookworms as Roy and pinkie pie are known to be pranksters and play by their own rules. As Lanolin and rarity are known to wear blue eye shadow when wade and flutter-shy are known to be afraid of almost anything when Booker and Sheldon are known to be alike the CMC when they didn’t be taken serious by their elders.
Seems like it when it comes to feminine animal cartoon characters.
That reminds me, I owe a friend a Minerva Mink pic he asked me to draw for ’em. lol
Oh. :-P
If anything, I noticed that Rouge the Bat, Minerva Mink, Lanolin (pre-Internet revival), Miss Prissy (in some Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies shorts), and Rarity all the white fur/wool/feathers/body color and blue eyeshadow thing. Is this a thing?
I meant I didn’t think anyone here saw my DA gallery, or was even aware I drew things.
Garfield and Friends? I’ve seen it for years, actually. I think since 2008 or 2009. Not infinity, but not a short while either.
lol thanks. Didn’t know anyone here has ever even seen it.
Oh, hi there. I’ve been looking at you DA for a while. :-P
Good point BTW.
Chubby midget colorful horses are quite adorable.
Plus there’s the whole thing about pretty horsies. We can’t underestimate that.
Yeah, only thing is Bo the sheep is more laid-back, and Dashie can have a temper & ego like Roy.
I think this is why MLP:FiM has a struck a cord with children of the ‘90s who grew up with shows like “Garfield & Friends,” “Adventures of the Gummi Bears,” “Muppet Babies,” and such. Because the “having several main characters” gimmick is a li’l similar to them.
+Orson and Twilight Sparkle (main protagonist, bibliophilism)
+Wade and Fluttershy (constantly frightened nature)
+Roy and Pinkie Pie (jokesters, albeit with different methods and moralities)
+Bo and Rainbow Dash (coolnesses)
+Lanolin and Rarity (white fur/wool, blue eyeshadow (is that on-point for Lanolin?), girliness/being the only girl (in the
worldshow))+Booker and Applejack (feistiness? their use of lassos depending on the episode? process of elimination?)
+Sheldon and Spike (one of these characters is not like the others, but does belong regardless)
Of course, that’s my thoughts. Anyone’s free to disagree with me.
Yeah! It was pretty awesome!
I actually have it on DVD, and watch it with my niece & nephews sometimes.
“Garfield & Friends” is actually surprisingly written well for a kid’s show back then.
okay
It’s not a “crossover,” it’s a comparison between these series, and the similarities between the characters. Chill.
I guess when you think about it, the reason MLP:FiM struck a chord with many “children of the ’80s,” or “‘90s” is ‘cause it’s kinda set up like a few of them with multiple main characters, and how some episodes tend to focus on each one, and such.
It’s kinda reminisc of some cartoons from the ’80s & ‘90s like “Muppet Babies,” “Adventures of the Gummi Bears,” “Snorks,” Smurfs,” and even “U.S. Acres” from “Garfield & Friends” here.
You don’t really see any cartoons like those anymore with multiple main characters, and that mix “slice of life” style episodes, with adventure ones. MLP:FiM is one of the few.
Good for you, random nameless individual.
Huh, I guess that sort of counts as giant.
I don’t really think of Saddle Rager Rage mode as “giant” though, more like “really big” if that makes sense.
True, can’t really think of any characters like her. Though, in all fairness Rarity was nicer, and braver then Plato.
Oh yeah, how could I forget the “Flutterhulk?” :P
Rarity was the one hardest to compare to a U.S. Acres character. They really have only five “adult” characters on that show (Are they adults? For that matter, are the Mane Six adults?) compared to six in MLP. Also, the brown rooster’s name is Plato, and I believe he was in at least two episodes.
And Fluttershy turned into a giant monster in the Power Ponies episode.
