Oh, calm your exaggerations. Even then it’s closer to one-third or even one-half as opposed to two-thirds if there are 2,682 SoarinDash images, or if 3,411 images have at least both of them whether they are shipping or not.
Otherwise, you’re really just telling this to the wrong person; because from what I see, Soarin is still more fortunate compared to say, Flash Sentry. Most of his images on this site would have you believe he’s just a waifu thief, an even blander character than Soarin, or shipping accessory, whether for Twilight, Shining Armor, Sunset Shimmer, or others. Despite that, he’s still among of my favorites despite that primarily for reasons either unrelated to those, or in retaliation to them. It’s not like people haven’t liked characters for less substance than that before.
Just because Soarin might be nothing more than a shipping accessory to you to your disgust, that doesn’t necessarily mean you or I absolutely must like him for that reason because of others like BP #D228 whether or not they were sarcastic or ironic. Thus, I don’t have to it to anything, if I can like him for non-shipping or even non-pie reasons, even if they’re little or few and far between.
If a character’s immediate content is mostly made up of material you don’t particularly like or aren’t interested in, see if there’s something you still like about them. It doesn’t have to be big, and you don’t have to force it. Anything works, no need to get too discouraged.

Just it it, Soarin is nothing more than ship accessory. 2/3 of his pictures are freaking soarindash, so stale, unoriginal and overdone that almost makes me sick.

Let’s see, his debut was somewhere around 2011 or 10… It is now 2015, so about 4 or 5.
