And dozens of bronies who helped him out with money to beat the Joker’s 1,500 € bid. Altogether, they collected 4,824.32 € for Perry’s hat! Better yet, although the Joker had been defeated, he ended up ing in with another 500 €.
This made Perry’s hat the eighth-most expensive hat in the world!

By the way, Perry (yup, she’s responsible for at least three memes in this fandom) has had her Hearth’s Warming Con premiere last weekend. Needless to say the audience demanded her hat at the auction. It has become impossible for anyone to get out of an auction led by Perry with their hat on. I’ve told her that in the event that I’d ever be so #HorseFamous that I’d her on stage at an auction, I shall not wear any of my hats.

This has just been taken to all-new levels at GalaCon on Sunday. Perry has auctioned off THREE pieces of headgear (unless you count plushie-sized bottle caps as headgear): a Perry-style leather hat that belongs to a Fanta-themed pony plushie (shortly after a Fanta bottle plushie) and once again her own hat, ed by Dustykatt’s cap.
Perry’s hat was at 850 € already, exceeding the 810 € the Joker paid for her hat last year, before she signed it, and before Dustykatt added his cap. I think both pieces of headgear were signed by both. At the end, the Joker got them (again) for 1,100 €.
Yes, we are nuts. But that’s how you raise 16,000+ € in one auction.
I wonder whether that hat in the picture is signed already or not.
