Agreed. That’s why I specifically said semi-deserved. Twilight’s inability to read ponies is going to piss her friends off, obviously not nearly deserving of helicopter blades to the face, but this is just a funny picture of taking retribution way too far.
Plus, throwing a mini-helicopter to the face is pretty awesome on its own. I wonder how you would weaponize it without a turtle….
@Background Pony #D30C
I think its due to the fact that a lot of people get the impression that Twilight at least semi-deserves it, as @BarryFromMars brought up. And I suspect that’s less to do with the website or the people on it, and more due to that’s the impression the show gives to many.
I’ve seen tons of things addressing Twilight’s issues across youtube and many other mlp websites over the slightest trigger. A insensitive action, a more interesting foil, anything. One can only say ‘we are the problem’ so many times before one suspects the opposite.
I’m more neutral, but I have to it there’s not much moral or interesting aspects about her to defend her. (The ‘its just so cheeeeeesy’ line was awesome though :D )
And people deconstruct her psychology and articulate the problems by citing, because if they are blunt, the ‘witchhunt’ people on the site will just cry out ‘Twi-hater’, even when they just want her to be written better.
Only on this website can you start a conversation based around the psychology of relationships of Princess Booksmart… on an image of Princess Booksmart having her face sawed off via turtle sized helicopter blades.
@CronoM
Twilight never said she didn’t know why any of them were sad. I don’t know where you got that from.
Twilight was feeling guilty because she was worried about how much pain they were in because of her actions. In that situation, assuaging her guilt and fixing the negative effects of her actions are exactly the same thing. There was no evolution of her motives in the episode.
And no, you don’t have to be bad at dealing with emotions to it that it’s a horrible feeling to know that you affected someone’s life very badly.
@Background Pony #FF21
Huh? I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. Twi itted she didn’t understand why any of them were sad, so her not crying was not even relevant(see Applejack in comparison). Most people would disagree with you on your second sentence for obvious dialogue reasons from Pinkie, and Twilight’s transition from doing good things to assuage her own guilt, to doing good things she wanted Moondancer to be happy regardless about how Twi felt about herself, happened during the present. Even Twilight itted actually going through the ‘Emotions’ was harder then anything else she’s done.
Let’s just agree to disagree. We all have our perspectives afterall.

It happens in a cycle.

Can’t banish her if she’s dead…
For some reason my comment got removed not sure why though it was just a picture saying “I’m not angry this is fucking ion!”
Got a bucket? The last paragraph may be causing some vomiting.
…And then send your whole damn town into Nuclear Winter just because she can.

I meant “Know when to NOT engage”, I said nothing about Twi deserving helicopter blades to the face.
I have no reason to engage with you. Like I said before, chill out.

You can be sad without crying, you know. There’s nothing indicating a lack of empathy on Twilight’s part in Tanks for the Memories.
The Amending Fences thing was from before Twilight had ANY understanding of relationships, so that’s not a knock on her empathy now either.
So true.
And then she nearly broke Celestia’s neck in the comics. I also can’t imagine RD ever fearing Twilight.
