Ishi didn’t give us a logic, so why did I find out in the My Little Pony Equestria Girls: The Legend of Everfree scripts that Timber is said to be 16 years old? in script it implies that this is the true age of the mane 6 and they finished school at 18 or 19, ishi confuses us. I wouldn’t say he was wrong. A storyboard told me that Timber doesn’t have to be exactly that age, they just confirmed that the characters are teenagers, never the exact age. This leaves us with an open interpretation of their ages. What’s wrong with a 20’s guy dating a girl? and she’s officially not underage. It’s just something Ishi told us to make us feel better about Timber so we don’t complain about him. And why did I discover that in his opinion that he said the same age (17-18) knowing well is only a guess? A ‘‘guess’’ is not the same as a confirmation because he has forgotten or disagrees with the script, and he was interpreting it in a different way.

He didn’t say it with certainty, those ages are not confirmed and it’s not official. the only is true that they are actually 17-21 years old. they look like young adults (but they are teenagers) because of their appearances, because a teenager in the real world don’t have that. when do you see a teenager flirting with a man and all that kind of relationship? because that’s not thier way. the CMC looks like teenagers. they have 17-21 that explains why they live alone in their home and act that way.
“Timbertwi is not creepy, the age difference between them is not that far off…” What?
Sci-twi: 16-17
Timber: 17-18
“the age difference between them is not that far off…” Oh, okay.
@Chuy Ryu
teens can be, plus he and Gloriosa are the only people who work there since it’s a family camp. Not that much of a stretch for him to still be a teenager.
The time to leave school over at mine is 15/16. So My first reacion to this image was “oh no”. But Then I’ve always had the headcanon that the EQG world is not Earth, but rather a universe themed around schools. Where people attend and then work at schools, their entire lives revolving around them.

Back when I was in high school, many seniors had the option to only attend half a day of school (assuming they had their graduation requirements squared away), and I knew of a few people who would begin college courses after their regular classes.
But generally speaking, 17/18 would make Timber a senior in a typical United States high school model (which EG is clearly modeled after). 16/17 would make the Human7 juniors or beginning senior year.

That’s not impossible. It depends on their academic capabilites, and I assume some programs exist to allow them, but that’s just guessing on my part.
If the characters were really that old they wouldn’t even be in school anymore unless it was college or something, and I feel like college-age folk aren’t sufficiently hip enough for EG’s target demo :/
This just makes me think of the whole Doki Doki deal where Salvato just gave the answer people wanted to hear so that they wouldn’t feel guilty about R34ing the cast, this being in spite of the fact that the whole ‘fictional characters’ thing renders the issue moot and the answer doesn’t even make sense considering the fundamental setting.

But it is exactly what I’m talking about! That’s nothing.
A maximum of two years isn’t a huge difference lmao. That’s nothing. They might even be the same age (17). Get over yourself.

Honestly, the purple people should have been your first clue.
EG world is in fact not Earth.

It’d make more sense for them to be in high school, like they actually are.

Well, ask the staff yourself.
