On a more serious note: if Pony is still on after Lauren gets done with her current show, she hasn’t ruled out coming back to the show. (Not sure where in the video is Lauren Faust’s interview. I heard it live.) She did say she really, really loves ponies. I think it’s just still too bittersweet for her. She worked really, really hard on the show and really stood up for it.

True. All things considered, Lauren Faust is unlikely to return to the show (she probably just said she might to keep the fans happy), but I think it is better this way. For her to come back and then change the direction of MLP again might not be the best thing for the show.
