Well he’s not even really a “lazy bum” (that would be Rigby), he just hates lame jobs. But he’s willing to work as long as he gets something meaningful out of it in the end, and he will work hard too. He’s even willing to risk his life, just so he, for example, gets to do a different task next time another birthday bash is hosted at the Park.
This ship also was not meant to be joke-y, not in the first place, and it’s only weird if you don’t know the context and justification for why it became a thing long ago.
That aside, though, you were absolutely right about his canon relationships. I’d also add that his relationship with CJ kinda only started by accident and peer pressure from his friends; maybe he did only liked her as a friend in the end, but didn’t want to break her heart once the ball got rolling. So, in the end, he’s still stupid like that ig, but ya gotta cut him some slack cos he was still figuring that out.

Hard disagree. Very hard. Mordecai may be a lazy bum but his heart is consistently in the right place. Margaret and CJ were pretty poor love interests for him TBH, as the former basically walked over him and the latter is a delicate cloud who loses her schtick over the slightest jealousy.
I get this ship is quite weird (or jokey), but yeah.

Most of them probably don’t really mind Airplanes meme anyway, so most likely they’re only gonna filter ship:mordetwi. But there are those who really dislike the pairing/ship and would rather it was never a thing, so (IMO) they make it a mission to tell the world “screw those shippers, this meme’ll show ‘em”, or “this pairing is impossible”, or “stop shipping them, it’s just a meme”.
That’s what I think, anyway.
By the way, does the Featured section still show the post (spoiled, I assume?) anyway, even if it’s in the hidden filter; or does it just show blank or have an alternative post in place? (I only Spoilerexplicit and questionable tags, and Hidedrama bait and nazi tags.)

I ain’t angry but I do find it funny how a harmless shitpost is making this many people angry. If some of y’all hate this meme that much use your filters. Put either “aeroplanes and Meteor showers,” “redraw mordetwi meme,” and/or “ship:mordetwi” on your filters. It’s really that simple.
