This was the most heartwarming part of the arc. Shows family’s more about heart than blood. And Spike’s happy for them, knowing it well from how he was raise among ponies.;
I’m sure that even if Sparky had chosen Spike, Spike would return him to Hitch because he knows that Sparky would be better off with the Ponies, just like he did when he was little.
