I found the Yellow Devil more annoying then the Flying Men, but I still enjoyed it’s inclusion personally. It was a nice touch, and nod to the old MM games.

Well, the different backgrouns/music does give some variety, but at least they have an option to play the normal stages to if you don’t care for FD.
Just a reminder, you CAN kill the Flying Men, if it’s a rival one’s. (It tells you who it belongs to above it.) I’m not that bothered by them, this is one of my favorite stages personally.

The hazards aren’t that bad, I feel. (Most of which just function as extra platforms.)
Though, the flying men can be a bit annoying at times, but I kinda like their inclusion.

The iteration of Magicant itself is based on the MOTHER 1 version (pink clouds, landscape, etc.). Some elements in the stage are from MOTHER 2, though (Dungeon Man, Skyrunner, Mobile Sprout, Octopus statue, etc.). That’s what skunky is saying.
Flying Man, however, was in both MOTHER 1 and 2.

They’re a bit powerful, but you can defeat them.
A li’l tip, you can get one on your side, if your the first fighter to come in with one, when it comes out of their house.
Also, once all 5 Flying Men are defeated (shown by a grave/memorial by their house) they stop appearing.

They do? I squeeled with delight when I first unlocked it. I even recognized it was based on the Mother 1 version of Magicant.
(But has alot of things/objects from Mother 2/EarthBound appear.)

Also FD gets boring as hell when it is literally the only option online. Yeah different backgrounds and all that crap. It is still FD.
How is not having hazards make a stage any less playable? It would actually help more when crap like Yellow Devil are a thing.
FD is only boring to westerners.
BUT WELP, too bad sakurai didn’t take the PSASBR approach. Now we actually get to have playable stages.

Yeah lets ruin a perfect stage with either a dumb hazard or lets make it boring as all hell by making it FD.
Follow the convo. It’s a solution for the removal of hazards. Don’t care for FD? Pick a campy character.
Flying Men were necessary to level Ana and Lloyd in Magicant… Oh, wait, you meant in Smash 4. Apologies. XD

The stage layout would be fine if it weren’t for the spew of hazards. But that’s what Omega mode is for.
