Maybe you don’t understand that the “sickening” thought you are describing is appealing to people. No one cares what your personal (or even “commonly accepted”) moral values determine people should like/not like, as long as its in a fantasy its completely fine and nothing is going to change the production and praise of such things.

The problem is the moral is still in the wrong, the thought, the intention.
It’s like.. imagine a drawing of some child being tortured to death, this example will just make it easier and clearer;
Though, it’s not REAL, it’s FANTASY, it’s still a sickening thought of it happening, of it being enjoyed, and it’s a thought many people are disturbed by and don’t want that kind of thought praised.
