I’ve come to the conclusion that after 1,000+ years of these egocentric aristocrats sucking up to her their blatant disingenuity has caused her to hold a bit of disdain for these pretentious ponies who’s only defining characteristic is “have money, be a dick” to the point where when things go wrong for these “high-society” fucks it’s a change of pace that she enjoys both on a level of excitement and a modicum of contempt that I imagine even she wouldn’t want to it exists.
 
Even the kind princess doesn’t have enough patience for thousands of years of sycophantic, two-faced, pretentious, pompous, corrupt, greedy, fuck-hacks kissing her ass so hard it feels like a particularly invasive and insatiable leech that she has to tolerate being stuck to her rump.

I thought it was interesting that Celestia described this whole debacle “exciting.”
