Now, I see two things. Technically three. First: Flurry as a weapon, I see the Targetmasters from Transformers . Second: Flurry as wings, I see Happy and Natsu from Fairy Tail. Also, I see the Jet Scrander, the flight pack of Mazinger Z.
Fun fact, there was a comic where one of the more useful weapons were these facehugger-like creatures that you would wear on your arm. They were content to stay there, and then you could tickle them!
And when you tickle them, their response is to fire a high yield laser of death!

The first pic there reminds me of one of the alien weapons in the first Half-Life game.
It’s an alien creature that leaps at you and “hugs” your gun hand, for the rest of the game it acts as a grapple line launcher (an organic equal to those in the Link games).
If you wait long enough your character strokes it like a pet!

Hm, could work. There are several official and fan made scenes of ponies holding ponies in their hooves resembling a weaponized stance: ACW Part 2, CE Part 2, don’t fully , but one scene may have a pony using a pony shield. :3
