Looking at this carefully, Octavia seems to have been made with modelling clay here.
The core of the cello looks like it’s carved hardwood.
The scrollwork piece looks like brass etching.
The cog wheel is most likely out of an old watch mechanism.
The strings are just wire
The other details on the cello are most likely parts from various model kits.
That really grinds my gears.
I couldn’t even that.
Anyway, I love steampunk.
Done. He’s my watchlist and will be for the next years.
He’s been in my watch list for a while.
There are some very cool things there, yes.
yeah, in a real steampunk instrument, the gears would have some actual plausible function
