Self-levitation.
Before that, only Starlight’s the one who can do it, and for sweetie belle, I wonder she’ll learn the same thing, hopefully we see something like that in s9, maybe have a Twilight time like episode, instead of Twilight, it’s Starlight.
so you mean season 9 have a episode title is Starlight Time? ⊙ω⊙
@Shimmering Spectacle
True, although I’d argue that reversing gravity for herself and Spike the way she later did to slide up the stairs required less effort than constant levitation and was a more complex spell to enact.
@Shimmering Spectacle
Actually, before Twilight got her wings, she could self-levitate, too. Evidence of such is in The Crystal Empire Part 2. After Twilight trips and falls down the spiral staircase, she uses self-levitation to stop herself from hitting the floor.

@Ryodraco
In general unicorns with celestial based cutie marks seem to be more potent or at least posses more magical knowledge (ie starburst) than the average unicorn which further solidifies my headcanon that unicorns with celestial cutie marks are generally more powerful/talented than unicorns without a celestial cutie mark.
Would be interesting if this is the case, we do know from the previous season that Sweetie Bell seems to have some potential for a wider variety of spells than an average unicorn (she’s shown using a rudimentary shield against the flyders, the sort of spell most unicorns can’t use), and the star cutie mark is associated with magical talents (plus having a wider variety of spells would allow her to help more ponies, i.e. her special talent).
I hope so.

“The path of least resistance” that’s what she took.

Yes except she only used it to stop her fall, she didn’t use it when she was climbing the stairs.

Yeah seeing the CMCs hanging out with Starlight, that’ll be awesome.
oh hell yeah i would love to see that. :)
Trixie has been learning some spells form Starlight lately, like this:

your current filter.Self-levitation.

It’s possibly because of Starlight teaching her those kinds of spells, that only a rare few unicorns can cast
Yeah, your probably right about that
Would have been fun to see, but leaving it to interpretation is good too.
