That sounds like a pretty interesting character. I like that he went through that character arc. Another game that kinda did something similar would be Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver (technically they’re remakes but the remakes themselves fleshed out this character a bit more). The rival in that game is the son of the villain from the previous games, who is a mob boss and has a huge chip over his shoulder in regards to that. He starts off as a jerk (he steals, he mistreats his Pokemon, and he pushes the player character around physically and verbally). But during the course of the game, he learns to be a nicer person and treats others better.

It’s one of the most overlooked things about the game Resident Evil 6, is one of the characters is the son of the main villain from like the previous five games, and they actually get into the whole nature vs nurture thing. He’s a self-centered jerk who does take after his father in some ways, but at the same time he’s honestly not that bad a guy at heart. Then him learning that his dad was this self-centered genocidal maniac he becomes dead-set on NOT becoming like his father and becomes a way better person :D

I think those are good reasons for making this OC. I love the “you are not your parents” moral, even in cases where the parents aren’t abusive or jerks. Because it’s true. People may share some similarities with their parents but they’re still their own unique individual person.

I agree. Gay or not, artists can draw whatever. Here’s the kicker though; we’re in a place that focuses on all things MLP. So putting all your focus on gay monsters WILL make people in this fandom wonder if there’s something wrong with you.

Lol yeah. There’s just too much stuff out there to draw. I gotta pick and choose, and I’m always going to lean toward the things I like, like weird monsters and gay stuff. I could pump out 10 pictures a day and still not satisfy everyone or cover every topic XD

To be fair, 97% (with a 3% margin for error) of Badum’s monster and object ponies are cute as fuck.
Also, Mr. Squish himself is gay, so if he wants to do gay art (whether SFW or not), then he’s more than allowed to.
Hell, even if he weren’t gay, he’d still be allowed to make gay art.

You know what the world needs more than more satyrs? People who puts a bit more focus on the currently existing satyrs and gives them a little more flesh on their bones.
It’s not really a good thing to create new OCs only to throw them to the side one day later so you can create another new OC. Know what I mean?

A lot of little things. I wanted to see if I could actually make the half-breed child of such a disgusting individual cute, I wanted to draw a chubby satyr, I wanted to see how high it would actually score, I found the idea of a woman actually being into Sludge to be funny (think Grrrl from Futurama), I like the whole “you are not your parents” kind of moral, and the world needs more satyrs :D
Just what was it that inspired you to draw what is basically a satyr version of Sludge? I mean, you saw a deadbeat lazy fat dragon who treated others badly and took advantage of Spike, and the first thing you thought of is “yeah, I should totally give this dragon a satyr kid and make her look like him. She’ll be loved by everyone”? Or what?
