I think a good additional lesson is that she needs to accept she can’t always has what she wants. Twilight is a princess now so as much as she might like to get her daughter back from the responsibilities of court she can not do this. I think though a better ending is that they start having a discussion about politics. Of course not actually showing the discussion, just show them starting.
@northern haste
Ah. For a moment, I thought you were implying to regress her further. Phew. That would have been a number to explain to both her husband and Equestria.
@Ammit5
I can imagine a premise where Velvet acquires the cure to Twilight’s condition early into the episode and the conflict is that she withholds it because she loves having her little filly back. Adorable shenanigans ensue, inter-cut with scenes of rising tension as Equestria feels the effects of being without their Princess of Friendship. By the end she learns some kind of lesson about letting go and allows Twilight to return to being a mare and a princess. Twilight can’t find it in her to be mad at Velvet for long and with a wink reminds her that she’ll always be her princess, and roll credits.
I love the kinda weirded out look on Spike’s face, hah. Perfect.
I dunno what’d be weirder. Seeing your older sister as a baby or changing her diapers. I guess with Velvet there he won’t have to do the latter, though.

I’m just joking about the idea of her keeping Twilight as a baby
What do you mean by that?

I’d like to see that!

I know that, I’m just pointing out that the movie that was satired on MST3k actually has a tag here, and some images relating to it.
I know, but she wasn’t Velvet’s husband.
That movie actually has a tag here.

your current filter.Of course why wouldn’t she what mother wouldn’t up the opportunity he to hold their little baby you again
That’s better than any “Merlin’s Shop of Mystical Wonders” riff I could think of.
Sparkle : (Thinking) “Oh poopie…”
