This is why I appreciate Spike so much, he’s a dedicated hard worker and being a dedicated hard worker myself I see myself more in him more than I do the rest of the Mane 6.

I detest it when an episode writer ignores this and thinks character development about him is him being an idiot and learning not to be an idiot.
