@Jarkes
There were several scenes that needed to be redone, and those scenes that WERE redone look really good, such as Makuta sending out his first Rakshi.
However in places the animation suffers and the most crippling thing was that despite the story not being for very young audiences, they made the animation for kids. You know, an epic story with countless wars, betrayals, deaths, and villains winning got a washdown.
This sadly trickled down through most of the movies, however the 3rd one, web of shadows, was aimed more towards the actual fans, which were people in their mid to late teens. Roodaka was sexy, Vakama betrays his friends, several characters die, and the overall tone was just darker.
Sadly it went back to a more cheap kid friendly direction with the 4th movie, which is a crying shame since Micheal Dorn (Worf) voiced Mata nui and Jim Cummings got to play a more serious role.
It is WAY down the pipeline and is the setup for one of THE last battles in the entire story.
yeah it doesn’t connect to the other 3
Yup, 4th. I don’t the name of it though.
Still, it ends in the proper bionicle way, with only one task done and a new one laid out before them.
wait theres a 4th movie?
me too

I say the GIFfing ruined it.
It was okay for its time.
I agree though, it looks pretty bad in retrospect. I’d say the old Flash animations held up better than the movies.
“All right, who fired the tickle spinner?”
Gave me a good chuckle, I’ll tell ya that :)
added bonus cuz Kathleen Barr
No, just thought it made for a funny comment.
reference of the third movie?
