What if this something got a few ounce of timespell magic (to restore the book as they were in the past), but one Daring Do book is too far away so it’s affected different…
It takes the books cast back in time.
And in order to make sure that she always got a few bits for food and travel expenses, Daring Do started to write stories about her old adventures between her new adventures.

I’ve always assumed the episodes don’t necessarily take place in order.
Heck, since Twilight was geeking out with Rainbow about Daring’s adventures in that episode, but had to ask Rainbow what happened in the comic, it makes sense that this comic took place before that episode. This actually retroactively improves my opinion of Daring Don’t.

Her friends probably got tired of her waiting for the book, and the only thing they could get her to do was to make a fanfic.

One could make the argument that the AK Yearling the Mane6 met in the show is a Daring Do who escaped from one of the books and was merely pretending to be her own author as a cover.

We could have one copy of Daring Do from each of her books, giving us… many Daring Dos… and what if the library had multiple copies of specific books?

And don’t forget, Daring’s adventures were fictionalized by A.K. Yearling, alias Daring Do. It’s not exactly a historical work.

Well they brought up the comicbook from Power Ponies, witch took place after Daring Don’t. But that’s implying that the episodes take place in order
