Way back on ponibooru, this was one of my favorite comics. I thought it was lost in the transition to Derpibooru - every couple months for the past six years, I’d search for it under every set of tags I could think of, but I never found it. Until now!
Fun fact. There are actually no nerves in your eyes. There is a small thin film that coats yer eyes that is reactive to pain. During eye proceedures the film is peeled back… then the eye can be worked on. Look on youtube for videos of laser eye surgery… generally the incision is done with very little anesthetic and with you awake…
