The show made it quite clear that they were anything but friends.
I know I’m a little late on this, but I think you meant “more than just friends”. “Anything but friends” would mean not any kind of friend, rather than not platonic friends.
There doesn’t have to be anything the least bit romantic or relationshippy involved in sex, even between friends, as most of the world had already figured out before the 20th Century happened.
@Eeveeinheat
Saying the episode hinted at them having a relationship is reasonable. Saying it showed they can’t possibly be platonic is bordering on quackery.
@newsketches
Glad they are just friends? The show made it quite clear that they were anything but friends. They did everything short of out right saying they were a couple.
@Soldier Surplus
all in all though. I’m glad they’re just friends. and I’m not saying that the lyrabon ship is a bad representation of samesex relationships but there have been better. I mean before this episode all we’ve seen them do is stand next to each other with no vocal communication (and I’m still debating wether or not equestria girls is canon… so yeah)
i don’t mind ships, they keep people afloat but i digress, why does everyone over analyze this one scene with them being lesbians, I’m okay with that though, and i’m not okay with that.
I like them as friends but whatever floats your, BOAT. HAHAHA shoots self
human languages have nuance and undertones and connotations and cannot be interpreted in a strictly literal sense
Anything but <noun> means…exactly what it says on the tin. It totally works the way Eevee used it.
All right, I’ll grant you that one.
True, but I can’t go back and change it.

…But in your case, being in denial seems more likely.
Yes but platonic sex is an oxymoron.
It’s not gay if it’s gay.
Clits are not analogous to balls. Vulva is pretty much the closest thing.
So it’s impossible to be a lesbian? Then what’s been giving me all these boners!?
@ColdhardSilver
It’s not lesbian if you only use your ring and pinky fingers. Or just replace “balls” with “clits”, that seems similar enough.
It’s not lesbian if the ovaries don’t touch.

It’s not gay if you get more than $100 for it.
It’s not gay if you’re super slick.
