Araki probably originally wrote the voice in the manga in the dialect you can hear in the anime. Don’t ask me how different Japanese dialects can be told apart in written form. lol
 
Semi-related: A certain anime, let’s call it Rurouni Kenshin, gave people from West Japan cowboy accents, which I found incredibly odd, but hilarious. X3

There is the fact that JJ had no weapons beyond size changing, flight, and floodlights in his eyes, and he beat the everliving crap out of Megalon. Heck, it took Gigan showing up for a 2 on 1 battle to put the hurt on JJ.
