That annoys me, because I tried to get a hold of the Animated figures but they were pretty much off the shelves by the time I could afford to really start.
I have managed to get a Lugnut and Soundwave but those were really low bids on ebay since they were out of box, and the Lugnuts’ gearing for the small bit of automorph is shot.

They’ve compared it to a movie finale like Predicon Rising.
It is written by Jim Sorenson and Chris McFeely and Sorenson did write the Allspark Almanac so he’s kinda got the insider track.

With the kind of pull these ‘benefactors’ apparently have, I have my doubts it’s going to be a satisfying payoff. Who else do they have? Megatron’s out, Soundwave is down, Starscream is in a coma. That already knocks out the big 3 who might run something like that.
Who do we have left who might have that big name recognition, yet could conceivably be accepted by the Cybertronian populace? If it turns out Shockwave was behind everything, I’d be beyond enraged.

Don’t think megatron’s even in the running.
Honestly I want to see corrupt/evil autobots (whoever is on the council) instead of another decepticon (although the toy description of cyclonus having some sort of hypnotism power doesn’t sound promising).

But herein lies the problem: who would populate a corrupt Autobot council?
Maybe Ultra Magnus as the clueless ‘just doing my job’-type, but what other names could you throw out that would have weight? My fear is they’ll have Star Saber be one of the corrupt .
