In the manga, there was a character (Rubber Soul) that was impersonating the dude with large fringe (Kakyoin) and was trying to kill the man with the hat (Jotaro). Rubber Soul had a habit of rolling things around with his tongue. So when Jotaro witnesses the real Kakyoin doing the same thing, he feels uneasy.
