I’ve seen a leaked version of this scene on Youtube after the fact where she says “dealt with” instead of “die,” but if you look at it, you can tell they only animated her to be speaking one syllable.
Normally I’d just say I misheard it, but it was loud and clear, and I have at least a witness who accompanied me. It’s sounding like there are edited and unedited versions of this scene, depending on where you go, or maybe even just when you saw it. My showing was the first of the day on opening day, so maybe it got changed later, since they were running the movie off of a Netflix stream.
I heard her say ‘die,’ and I applauded her initiative. Finally, an intelligent villain in a children’s movie who realizes that the main threat to their operations must be dealt with quickly and absolutely. Of course it didn’t change anything, but I appreciated the effort.
I’m 98% sure that in the version I saw she said delt with. I plan on rewatching it tonight though and find out for sure. It would be pretty awesome though if there were two different versions released. Not sure how they’d show that in stores though.
I’d say that’s more surprising than dark. I’m not trying to compare the two, but Batman TAS was dark and they were going for a younger/equal-ish demographic.

I’d say that’s pretty damn harsh; I thought it was seriously good for what it was. It took me by surprise anyway.
