They care more about saving money and being neoliberal than doing something that would actually help the country. The only reason why they even get so many voters, is because has way too many old people and they unfortunately like conservative parties and don’t want any changes (even though they are really needed).

As a tourist in , agree that Deutsche Bahn is tamers’s plot awful. Derpy would make better job for sure.
Rant against detsche bahn: I have travelled 5 times in with Deutsche Bahn, and 4 times it has screwed up. Also pretty much everything relating to DB is near dysfunctional: train ticket machines barely work, and info screens show wrong times, wrong tracks and wrong trains (yes have encountered all three). I am just flabbergasted how bad DB is. Can not understand, that , a country that should be the the center of european civilization, allows such behavior from their train network. How the government has not stepped in? Such is unacceptable and embarrassing. Or the government should at least make some gesture that they are sorry about it. For example, maybe DB would start working on their priorities if they had to refund a ticket after 15min delay and even pay compensation after 30min delay. I find it hilarious that DB has these super fast trains that cost a lot due to their speed, but they run always so late that the speed becomes useless. I have never seen so empty trains in my life, very few uses them, as they will delay more than the actual travel time.
