Yeah. It was a shitty time. It’s just something that’s good to so we can learn from our mistakes. Some of those Japanese-Americans ended up becoming war-heroes, after all.

During WWII, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Japanese-American citizens were rounded up and put into internment camps for “our own safety”. Families were separated and people treated as sub-human due only to how they looked. No matter if you had lived in America your whole life, you were still seen as a threat and “dirty Jap”. Bad time to be an of Japanese heritage.

9/11 was a terrible day for many families, but the darkest day in American history? Not even close. In fact, some of the worst things in American history were done by us to our own citizens. Slavery and Japanese internment instantly come to mind.

That doesn’t sound nearly as bad as slavery, also, I can hardly blame them. I’d suspect as well.
