Nearly everything I’ve ever became good at was through repeatedly doing it, there was no magic ticket that put me above all else, just a modest amount of ability. Then this show comes along and teaches me that talent is the most amazing thing ever. Ponies are defined by a singular talent and fail when they try to stray away from it or do something else. I hate that. I hate how ponies can just be born into having the most amazing life ever with impossible levels of talent and everything you could possibly ask for, while others are just forgotten, left aside, treated like crap, or second thoughts. It really does sicken me, even if this is just a cartoon. The only character I like is Trixie, the one the show doesn’t want me to like.
So in short, fuck how this show values the ponies, fuck it’s obsession with talent, and most importantly, fuck Starlight for hammering this point in. I don’t even know why I bother, nothing about mlp is charming or makes me happy anymore.

@Goobington
So she’s an evil Twilight clone? Right, because the show really needed that.
That doesn’t explain jack about her abilities either. In her first appearance, she said herself that it took a long time to get where she was at, and Twilight still beat her.
Something really irks me about this show, it’s almost like it values talent over friendship. Maybe that’s why they were so quick to forgive Starlight and not Trixie, because being impossibly talented is what really matters. Screw this.
