I just discovered this artist and, sweet Celestia, do I love what I see! To the point that I regret not having known of them earlier.
A picture may tell you a story of a thousand words, but his art produces one of ten-fold that. Not only that but it is brought alive by the vibrance of the color, the strategic employment of shades and lightning; every character seems to be of high individuality. The more you look, you can almost hear the ambience of a typical tavern with its roudiness and cheerful folk music.
This is what I love about works like these. It has an entire layer of depth to it. An emotional one. It lights up the imagination. And that is of inexpendable value.
I would die for the opportunity to witness the results of a highly concerted, collaborative effort to bring to life the story of Equestria if it had this as an animation style at 23fps, and Hans Zimmer or perhaps even Thomas Bergersen as composer.
Bravo!
