Problem:Suffering is undesirable. Human intelligence experience suffering in dead universe situation.
Solution:Modify your intelligence so that you wouldn’t experience boredom, loneliness or any other unpleasant sensation in this situation.
I see no reason to assume that all forms of mind should experience this sensations in that situation so such modification is most likely possible. You have enough time to find a way to do it. So if you are immortal this solution is perfectly possible.
Is this solution more desirable than death or not depends on your morality system.
Immortality give you possibility to overcome limitations of human nature. If you don’t want to remain puny Homo Sapiens forever then these limitations should not be a reason to reject it.
