Stingball grenades may be less than lethal devices, but they still crave maximum suffering and are best ignored. The same could be said of all spiritual apparitions of talking weaponry. However, due to less lethal devices’ unique status of low fatality rates by design, ponies and many other species have an unfortunate tendency to take them less seriously.

The specific request to be thrown into a bat pony nursery is likely twofold. One, it is most likely an attempt to circumvent its low fatality rate. Newborn foals would sustain far greater injuries. Two, bat ponies are more sensitive to noise than other pony tribes. The explosion of the grenade and the sound of several hard rubber balls bouncing around the room would cause greater distress to bat ponies.
Once again, do not listen to giant glowing apparitions of weapons.
