Actually I was thinking Hot Rod similar to how they matched up opposites for the Head and Target Masters.
 
Now make Shining Armor and Ultra Magnus. This is how we can overwrite that past shame.

Yeah this wall of text was mine. I forgot to earlier.
 
Either way I’m writing a head canon that the comics are made in-universe within the actual show by Author Avatars of the writers who base, embellish, or make up historical or general events around the characters for fictional recreation. So any disparency is a result of them choosing to go the creative route and make up there own version of events which even the show characters are baffled by and explain the occasional exaggerations and other egregious parts found from time to time.
