Methinks this might be about Gundam Seed Destiny ending with Lacus apparently having taken control of PLANT and ZAFT with Kira as her right hand. Was something of a divisive ending at the time.
I, personally, prefer to think of this as a response to Lacus’ second mission in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 where Lacus goes around picking fights for hysterically petty reasons just to prove a point to Kira.
