would just like to start by saying that my intention behind this lengthy post is not to stir up drama or draw attention to myself. Just trust me when I say I am of no importance and that I am not being a hater or purposely trying to get people angry. I am definitely not some over-sensitive person trying to preach to the public or that I believe I am telling people the truth. You believe what you want to believe, I have no control over that, nor should anyone else. But I must speak my mind by stating that this fandom has alienated people for too long, it must stop. Over the years, I have heard numerous people state that this fandom has unified people and has helped others find valuable friendships. Despite this, from what I have observed, friendship is the last thing that this fandom is built upon. It is time to stop, cease from demonizing other people because of the characters or ships that they may like, all of these pointless death threats and controversy have destroyed my love for this wonderful, truly unique TV show. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, no matter what anyone else says, is truly unique in its combination of maturity, humor, and cuteness. I have loved the show for quite some time but the entire association of liking it to masturbating on whorish body pillows sold at every single pony convention possible, to constantly having fanart and fanfiction depicting grotesque adultery or innocent ponies torturing each other out of perverse “love” shoved in everyone’s faces 24/7. Now, I am not lying when I say I am completely accepting of and even like clop and other NSFW content in the fandom. I think it is perfectly fine and I even enjoy it. But constantly having content this abominable, wretched, morbid, and utterly twisted in every aspect imaginable is unacceptable to have constantly shoved down the people’s throats. This is merely the tip of the iceberg however, constant hatred directed towards the producers of this show by people in the fandom has made me curious as to how much the fans of MLP: FIM actually enjoy this show, it even becomes obvious that they are FAR more bent on creating their perverse and eye-scarring creations than enjoying this show. In fact, the death threats sent to the creators and artwork depicting Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the Mane six being nuked at the ending of “The Last Problem” has disgusted me in its entirety while being self-evident for my point. And the worst part is that everyone in the fandom knows who has been making this artwork, (and let’s just say they are among the most famous of Bronies.)
Now I am certain that many people are already writing me threatening novel-length comments or have debunked me as some Christian Grandmother who is writing a speech to shame every brony solely to start a drama war in the fandom. Go ahead and call me an idiot, go ahead and say that I am better off dead. I am already used to it so I could totally handle it from this discriminatory fandom. But think, just think, is this REALLY what the characters in the show would want? To depict Celestia as a rapist and cowardly threaten anyone who questions it? (I know the whole Princess Molestia drama war ended years ago, I just couldn’t exclude it.) To hate Starlight Glimmer because she saw the error of her ways? To hate the changelings from freeing themselves from their Queen’s captivity? To hate Sugar Belle without end because she and Big Mac got together? To spit on Twilight Sparkle because she grew Wings? Would the mane six, or any other character in the show really approve of this, for hating other people solely because they don’t like the ships you don’t? For depicting them as sex-addicts, for reducing them to mindless freaks and spewing it out wherever you go???? Is that what it means to be a brony, is that what MLP: FIM stands for, and always will stand for. If so, count me out. I’m jumping off this bandwagon that’s overflowing with drama, hate, alienation, and those terrible terrible terrible terrible body pillows. I have seen a countless number of other fandoms, I have seen the many issues that they have and have seen that the brony fandom is absolutely no stranger to constant drama wars, death threats, or discrimination. But never, have I seen one like this, alienating others without a trace of mercy. Forget it, you have taken an amazing and life-saving show, and have reduced it to a perverse, smoldering heap of the most indescribable mangled-up rubbish imaginable. Think, is this really what Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, AppleJack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Starlight Glimmer, Trixie, Spike, Celestia, Luna, Cadence, or anyone else would want? If they saw this fandom they would shake their heads and never bother thinking about it again. I am not saying you should be ashamed of yourselves, I am not calling this fandom toxic, (that term is better reserved for the Youtuber, Steven Universe, or Star Wars fandoms) and I am DEFINITELY not saying MLP is not worth loving. But is this really what it stands for?? Is this what friendship is all about?????
For those of you who read this and actually took it into consideration, thank you, thank you, thank you. Having someone that could at the very least be slightly understanding is all I wanted. Especially when I used to see this fandom as a place of refuge from the eternal hatred of politics and social-drama. Just , friendship, kindness, honesty, and love are always, ALWAYS more important.
Those of the few people reading this, please, don’t hate others for who they are, just forget all this hate and embrace what was important this whole time, friendship.
